Vata is a combination of air and space elements. Vata is the king of the doshas because if it is in equilibrium, then normally Pitta and Kapha are too. It is so important to keep this dosha in balance as it is the foundation of our sense of well-being. Vata types are exceptionally creative, communicative, and brimming with ideas. Vata lies in different locations in the body; skin, ears, large intestines, pelvic region, hips, and knees. A regular daily routine, minimal raw food, warming meal, massages and bath pacify the aggravated Vata dosha.
Pitta dosha is made out of or fire and water. Ayurveda states that Pitta controls heat, metabolism and transformation in the mind and body. Pitta personalities are known for their powerful intellect and ambition. Pitta people struggle with upset stomachs, diarrhea, and heartburn. The metabolism is hyper acidic, burp frequently, perspire and is emotionally sensitive. To keep this dosha in balance, mental challenges, regular meditation, at least seven hours of sleep.
Kapha is formed of the earth and water elements. Kapha is associated with love, courage, stamina, dedication, forgiveness, and stability. Kapha people need to stimulate their metabolism by eating warm cooked food particularly easy to digest. Pungent and bitter flavors also stimulate digestion by pacifying Kapha.
